ForWords and Youth Scholarship Program
This documentary, created by thirty middle school and high school students, offers the viewer the opportunity to engage in issues of gender, culture, and individuality.

Human Rights Project
School Partnership with Banyan Integrated Studies, San Rafael High School
ForWords teachers and artist in residence partner with Banyan each semester to create an integrated study project that connects global issues with classes in English, History, Science, and Physical Education.

1000 Words
Middle School Partnership
This project is a collection of poetry written by middle school students in partnership with ForWords master teachers and the eighth grade English teacher. Students wrote original poems based on compelling photographs.

True Colors - Mural & Book
Community Partnership with Precita Eyes
ForWords Literacy Lab spearheaded a project with thirty middle school and high school students to create the first community mural in the Canal area of San Rafael.

Digital Journey Presentations
Students created digital maps of their life journeys, wrote about the challenges and dreams they face, and presented their projects to the community.
