ForWords Literacy Lab and Helms Middle School

Helms Middle School students, as part of National No-Name-Calling Week, created and led an anti-bullying campaign at their school.

The students researched the subject, wrote and designed anti-bullying posters. They planned various activities at Helms for school-discussion and understanding of bullying. They also developed data regarding bullying.

Physical bullying increases in elementary school, peaks in middle school and declines in high school.
Verbal abuse, on the other hand, remains constant. –
